Rajgira Biscuit Recipe – Rajgira is a flour often eaten preferred during the fasting. Rajgira flour is protein rich flour and is known as a superfood. Rajgira flour can be used in a variety of recipes. Rajgira flour can also be included in your daily diet to make chapati, parathas, pooris and even many snacks.

In this recipe of Rajgira Flour Biscuit sugar has not been used, instead jaggery replaced the sugar. Here is the recipe of Rajgira Flour Biscuit.
Rajgira Biscuit Recipe Ingredients
- Rajgira Flour: 1 cup + 2 tbsp
- Cardamom Powder: 1/4 tsp
- Jaggery: 3 tbsp
- Ghee / Clarified Butter: 4 spoons
- Salt: 2 pinch
- Baking soda: 1 pinch
- Milk: 7 spoons
- Almonds (chopped): 2 tbsp
Rajgira Biscuit Recipe details

First of all, take jaggery in an open utensil in which you can mix comfortably. Here soft jaggery has been used for Rajgira Biscuit recipe. Crush the jaggery well with a fork.

Crush the jaggery well and add ghee / clarified butter in it. Mix jaggery and ghee well. Butter can also be used instead of ghee and if desired, sesame or groundnut oil can also be used in it. We can use a hand blender to mix these ingredients well.

Now let’s mix Rajgira flour in it. Along with flour, baking soda and salt are also mixed in it. Also add cardamom powder in this mix. Cardamom powder gives a very nice flavor and aroma to it. Like cardamom, cinnamon powder also gives a great flavor. You can add cardamom powder or cinnamon powder as per your choice.
You can also make Rajgira Biscuit for Vrat/Upvas. If you use rock salt in fasting, then add rock salt instead of salt.

Mix all these ingredients well. To mix this flour, mash it well between your hands and fingers.

Now we add milk to this mix. To make Rajgira Biscuit, we do not have to mix all the milk at once but add only one spoon of milk at a time. We just have to add milk to it and do not knead the dough. All ingredients should only be thoroughly mixed.

Now add chopped almonds to it.


Roll the dough in butter paper and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

When the dough is taken out from the fridge after 30 minutes, it hardens and sets in the roll. Now cut it into small pieces with a knife. Meanwhile, preheat the oven. To make Rajgira flour biscuits, preheat the oven at 180 degrees.

Some patterns can be made on small rolls of Rajgira flour.

Spray a little oil or ghee on the baking tray and keep these biscuits leaving some space on the baking tray. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees. The pan can also be used as an oven to make Rajgira Biscuit. For this, spread a thick layer of salt in a pan and heat it on low flame. It can also be used as an oven.

Rajgira biscuits get baked in 20 minutes and the color starts to turn light golden. Now these biscuits are ready. Keep the Rajgira flour biscuits on a wire rack to cool.
